SHINE

Here is Shine. He is a puppy of about 6 months old, who comes from the Lebanon. He was hit by a car when very young and had an amputation of the front right leg.

The Association who rescued him then had him fostered but unfortunately the Foster Home threw him out on the street and he was seen hiding under a car. Happily, he was rescued and brought here to Southern France by Tania.....an Angel of a lady, who specialises in rescue work.

What to do when our Dog is ill?

E-mail Print PDF

When your dog is having symptoms , do you rush off to the vet? or do you wait to see if nature sorts it out?

When Nanette is ' under the weather' , or having symptoms, we get in the car and go straight away to the forest or a nearby wood. The fact is that dogs know better than we do what they need when ill....

a controversial article??

E-mail Print PDF

Someone asked me today if I thought the article I wrote yesterday re ' Crohn's Disease' was a ' controversial article' ? To which I replied ....' I hope so..' simply because things tend to carry on in the same old way without a bit of ' stirring up' and ' controversey'!!!

However, It would be fair of me to balance the argument so to speak.....not squirm out of it you understand!! (it is uncompromisingly true that we abuse domestic animals through feeding them inappropriate ' rubbish',) but rather to add to the statements I am already responsible for.

Nanette's Messages

E-mail Print PDF

Last night, I was reading the BBC News on my computer. I turned round because I could feel Nanette's eyes boring into my back! As I turned back to read the news, my attention went straight to a statement by Stephen Hawking ( Physicist/Scientist ).

In effect, the statement said ' There is no God....' and underneath was a barrage of letters, statements, which I read carefully. These were from people in entrenched positions contradicting the statement....Christians in particular and then people who were contradicting the Christians and so on....you know the sort of thing!!? The same conversation that caused ' Holy Wars' and killed thousands upon thousands of people. Then I got her message.....

' Wouldn't it be miraculous Jil if Humans stopped for a moment and just said the magic words.....' I don't know'...'Would it not be wonderful to explore Life from a position of conscious confusion and unknowing rather than unconscious denial???''....I'll leave it with you. I am of course obliged to sort it out for myself!! Ooh La la!! Love to all Jil, Nanette and Monsieur Bertie

that is elementary, profound
and alive.
