Nanette: A Very Brave Dog

and how one little dog showed her life

Full on Solar Eclipse and Bertie

E-mail Print PDF

Oh La La!!! Bertie is all over the place....having Hysterics, following me everywhere, threatening a Seizure and so on!!

I have come to recognise this as a syndrome that emerges at Lunations and now Eclipses. These could be said to be times when past issues come into consciousness to be healed ...or again denied!!! Yes, it happens with traumatised animals too...actually, they have none of our egoic motivations to avoid issues which need attention.

Bertie's past, at  this time continues to give rise to very anxious behaviour and gradually I am able to form a picture of his previous lifestyle.

Typical of a pre Lunation ( New or Full Moon plus Eclipse ) is the tendency to repeat epileptic type seizures....these are now only relatively mild and don't last long. Also, He will suddenly....without warning.. begin to cry hysterically and the pitch of it rises until I firmly check it......' Arret Bertie!!!! is usually enough ( Arret french for 'stop'!! ).

That he still misses Mimi , his Mother (whom I adopted at the same time and who died shortly after from a heart attack ) is without doubt. I think if you study the picture, you can see this sadness which I managed to catch one evening.

Please don't be overtaken by this!! For the most part, Bertie is a Happy Energetic Dog, who is secure and has found Himself to some degree....which is more than most of us Humans can claim!!!!

Rosi of Noah's Ark Essences is currently preparing  an Essence for Bertie at these sensitiive times. I look forward to it because I know this is the way forward in ' the New World' ( if I may put it like that ).One day ' Drugs ' will be History..Nature has and always has had an answer to all dis_ease and Illness of any kind. Nanette is who she is today because of the help that Rosi has supported us with!!!

So what does this behaviour tell us? That Bertie's previous environment was full of fearful, nervous Humans who were rejecting and at the same time stimulating him too much...my feeling is that Mimi was such a Beautiful, Easy, Calm Soul that she was the favourite and Bertie was the outsider desperate for Love and Attention. There is no doubt that he was also frequently punished physically for urinating in the house and generally for being Bertie!! His fear of the broom and hoover were indicative of this kind of attack.

To shut him up, they would constantly throw a ball or some object to keep him busy.....when he first came, he would rush around the room looking up at the shelves.....obviously looking for something he was supposed to retrieve....then he would be momentarily the centre of attention of course!!!

That has completely stopped now. We have our games in the early morning in the Park and then sometimes later in the day....but these are periods set aside only for the game....nothing else. All said and done, Bertie has made a good recovery in general and for the most part is a Happy Healthy Dog. Even if we cannot overcome the tendency to Seizures and Hysterics completely, they are at least now only at set  predictable times... therefore possible to prevent with Rosi's help.
